Google Chrome on an Interactive Whiteboard – video

Chrome works well on an IWB. The small UI means that you get more web content on the whiteboard. Good use of whiteboard screen real estate. The tabs work nicely too, as you’ll see from this short video I made.

Oh, and I was using Portable Google Chrome running off my thumb drive. Get it from Caschy’s blog here

it’s funny, the more i use Chrome (for windows), the more unstable it seems to get… crashes a lot more, can’t handle sites with flash, hangs every time i close a tab… all that to say, i’m switching back to Firefox

@movie fan – yeah, agree. I’ve also noticed that Chrome often lags when switching between tabs on a slow computer (most of the ones we have in class are slow enough to do this), which is a pain. And, yes, Firefox still has it for me too. It’s just so rich in features. Maybe Chrome will get better. I hope so. Teacher’s report: shows promise, could do better. =)

I’m actually enjoying using Chrome at work instead of IE or Firefox. Also glad to hear it works on interactive white boards. Hope the transition stays smooth for Promethean’s new white boards and word on the street is they are developing a new software package. Look forward to using Chrome on Prom boards in the future.

I’ll have to try Google Chrome. I love my Activboard tho… I keep finding more things to do with it. I hear there’s new software coming out for it, can’t wait!
